Death Brade (released as Mutant Fighters in the west) combines two of my favorite things - pro wrestling and fantasy creatures - into one fighting game. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Most moves are decidedly pro wrestling in nature, and one environment is actually a wrestling ring. In addition to the ring, there is a good variety of arenas where the battles take place. The arenas don't just look different, but have their own unique characteristics, as well. Some contain environmental hazards, and one of them is on ice, so it's easy to slip around. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The character design is excellent! And despite the variation of size in character sprites, the grappling and move execution does not look wonky. Most moves are carried out in just a couple of frames, so it's not exactly accurate to say that it's fluid, but the response feels good. When executing a finishing move, they fly up into the air and drop back down to the ground. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The box and manual are in quite good condition, too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
