Dragon Slayer on the FM-7 is an early attempt at an action RPG. Everything, including battle, takes place in real time. It has some interesting mechanics and I must say I've never seen another game quite like it. I haven't played too far into the game, so anything said is based on that limited experience.

You can always hold a shield in your left hand, but other types of items must be held in your right hand, and you can only hold one at a time. So one of the early, arguably useful, items in the game, is a ring that allows you to push blocks of walls out of your way. But you don't want to enter battle without a sword, right? Gotta set that ring down somewhere! But make sure you can find it (or another one) later.

But the only place I can find so far to refill your health is the inn at the very beginning of the game. Do you really have to go back to the beginning every time to refill your health? Not exactly, because you can use that magic ring mentioned above to move the inn itself around the map. Just don't get caught off guard without your sword! It's easy to find yourself stuck with an enemy stronger than you whittling away your health and no means of escape. Getting up on your feet in early RPGs can be really brutal sometimes!

The box was kind of rough, and it came with an obi (the paper wrapped around a package, often seen around new CDs, DVDs, video games, etc,) but the obi looks like it was on photocopied paper. But it's not a size a regular consumer would easily be able to reproduce, so I am not sure if it is official or not.
