I knew the name Splatterhouse as a popular game for the Amiga, so I automatically assumed it was western in origin for a long time, but recently learned this one was actually a Japanese game by Taito. Buying the FM Towns version is quite a pricey endeavor, but I lucked out on one as part of a bulk purchase, actually hidden from sight, behind stacks of CDs. I don't know precisely the deal, but it seems Ving has something of a magic touch when it comes to FM Towns ports.

No box, just the CD, cover, and jewel case for this one.
